SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ABOUTAWORD welcomes unsolicited electronic submissions of book reviews, interviews, and micro-essays addressing the writerly perspective. We accept multiple submissions and ask that you contact us if you place a piece elsewhere. You can make submissions through our submission manager by clicking here: ABOUTAWORD SUBMISSIONS

Book Reviews:
Submit reviews of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction books published no more than 24 months prior to submission. Reviews should follow MLA style for Book Reviews and be approximately between 500 and 1000 words.

Please include your last name, *genre*-review, and the author, in the 'Title' area of the electronic submission form (ex. Smith, poetry review, Alice W Flaherty, The Midnight Disease).

Please submit a short bio in the 'Cover Letter/Biography' field of the electronic submission form

Guest Posts / Micro-Essays:
Writers may submit guest posts / micro-essays which address the writerly perspective within various contexts of the world, including but not limited to subjects of craft, collaboration, memoir, politics and activism, identity and subject-position, writing within and without academia, writing communities, and literary outlets.

Please note your name and the title of the post / micro-essay in the 'Title' area of the electronic submission form (ex. Joyous Writer, The Best Words Ever Written). Submissions should not exceed 1250 words.

Please submit a short bio in the 'Cover Letter/Biography' field of the electronic submission form.

Interviews:
ABOUTAWORD welcomes queries for interview projects. Please do not submit interviews directly before sending a query and a summary of the project. Writers may submit a query with an outline of the project to our electronic submissions manager. Please include 'your name interviews name of interview subject' in the title (ex. Joyous Writer interviews Interesting Writer).
